She’ll start your day off right, so I call her my Special K
Her sense of humor is enough to brighten any day

She comes from Oz, and that is why Aussie is her pen~name
Her spirit is so full of life and always is the same
She tells about Australia in a story and in poem
And proud to tell her peers of where it is she calls her home

She's honest as the day is long, and never will betray
Her attitude is wonderful; it is so “come what may”

A celebrated artist since the age of just fifteen
A nurse to help serve others, that is her loving routine
She once had a poem published in New York, Big Apple state
So Kay should publish more, because her writing is so great

Of everything that she stands for, I love what she portrays
She keeps Jesus first in her life, and for others she prays

She helps the young to come to terms with their new handicap
And shows them how to face a fear without the bubble wrap 
Her partner passed away, now Kay and her dog live alone
Her partner had a daughter, so she's almost like her own


She is part of a special group that doesn't mind being labeled 
On National Committee for the "Riding for Disabled

She doesn't have it easy, yet she keeps her smile intact
She doesn't do self pity, she would not know how to act
She cannot let her steam off in a physical excite
Instead she uses what she loves, and it helps her to write

She has a sweet philosophy, a great communique
She tells it how it is, yet she does it in a kind way

Laughing at your own mistakes keeps you from being a censure
If you run from challenges, you'll miss a great adventure
I love that she does not believe in mere coincidence
She knows it is the way God planned that makes an incidence
