While you Sleep

While you Sleep ...

the waning crescent moon
reigns the night sky
with unassuming  garb


the wind plays with chimes
on your front porch
and trees sway around your home


cheerful nightingales chirp
beautiful bird-songs
serenading your soul


creepy tree-shadows
sneak inside your room
through the open window
to touch you


I imagine what I would do
 
      if I was there with you
            
            and ...
                  the moon
                        the chimes
                              the birds
                                    the shadows
