Of The Wolf In Disguise

Beware

by Jessica Wheeler

Avoid the pretense, of a predator's feign

They crave innocence, with intention to drain

Speak of the violence, make known what's out there

More danger in silence, than words that might scare

Grave consequences if knowledge not pressed

Without these defenses, evil’s chance is best

To prey on the credence- of the naive, wide-eyed

And leave behind grievance, from truth traps they've lied
