For the love of sunflowers...
The Kansas state flower,
the beautiful sunflower.
Bright golden arms,
with a dark brown heart,
Ripped apart,
seed by seed,
and petal by petal.
Picking away at the light and beauty
that illuminates the earth.
It can become the sun to one's darkest of days.
A little light that flicks,
but there are more petals to pick.
Each turning into your fondest memories in life.
Each being destroyed,
petal by petal.
Dont stop now,
there are new problems to settle.
Whispering in the night,
petal by petal.
