Baseball pageantry 100 words
Opening Day Baseball
by jmdg1954
Take me out to the ballgame …
Picture perfect skies. Cascading warm sun. Emerald green manicured outfield grass. Chalk lines extending from home plate. Red, white, and blue buntings honors America's pastime.
Crisp, white pinstripe uniforms. First of one-sixty-two. The march to October World Series begins.
Take me out with the crowd …
Rookies make their dream debut.
Players line up for introductions and ovations from thousands in attendance.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks …
Cotton candy, popcorn, and hot dogs…
Fathers arrive with sons and daughters, cutting work and school, creating memories.
Opening day baseball, fans pageantry.

Many thanks to fellow writer, Terry Broxson who thought it was a good idea for me to write a piece about opening day.
