Today my daughter is having a birthday party for Jackson, who will turn five on 3/28/2023. There’s going to be a bounce house in the back yard, pizza for lunch and special birthday cupcakes to sing  happy birthday.

Yesterday I started with having “the chills”. No matter how many layers of clothing I put on, I could not get warm. My nose was runny, probably went through a half box of Kleenex tissues. But, no fever.

That changed overnight because earlier today my temperature was 100.3. Every bone in my body was screaming at me. My head was like an anvil absorbing every blow dealt with the hammer.

As you read in those short posts at the beginning, I tested positive for Covid. No clue where or from whom I would have picked it up. I’ve gotten my two Moderna shots and boosters. Yet I still contracted it.

 Needless to say, I will not be attending Jackson’s party. I won’t be able to share his laughter, or a cupcake like we do. I taught him to lick the icing first, before you eat the cupcake.

Hopefully we can FaceTime later today and he can tell me all about it.
