Everybody, let's dance to the magic

The Lure of the Music

by poetwatch

Late, one night, as the moon

hid from view,

I saw the road that leads

into the darkened path.

Music was the sound,

cradling my ears.

I trembled,

I did not know what to do.

The desire to turn was strong.

Yet,

“I'm a man,” I said,

and ventured forward step-by-step

deep into that bush.

Claws tore at my clothes.

As the moon started to glow,

fairies danced within my sight

goodness, gracious what a show.

Elves and sprites filled the stands,

gnomes and goblins roamed a waterfall,

waiting for the next catch.

Then, a nymph caught my eye,

and she smiled splendidly.

She grabbed my hand and we danced.

As the stars provided the music,

we carefully, and lovingly consumed

our desire.

I was lost that day, sigh.

Something different, yet, it's still me. :)
