Hot Wheels, Death Wheels

Reading the police graphic
it is obvious the issue
became even more dramatic
during the pandemic.

A growing amount of teens
sought to add some spice
to their empty, disrupted lives;
ready to roll the dice
racing in a maze like mice.

Smoking, screeching wheels
in street car races,
giving each other chase;
if caught repeatedly
jail time these dumbasses face.

They are a disgrace
putting in harm's way
even innocent by-passers
in their reckless play

while their gassed-up mates

with joy cheer them on

in their death game.
