Sight Unseen

You're smiling I said
feeling her cheeks lift as her lips moved.
Something funny for her
a sense of mirth
 
Your face is lovely
Surely you know that 
I hope you smile often
It brightens our every moment
 
You know so much she said
How I feel, how I look
Am I so brilliant
You see me so clearly
 
You are so open I said
Celebrating your humanity
A blessing for everyone
Especially me.
 
She placed her hands over mine
If only I could see as you do she said
I only have my eyes,
You have that wonderful touch
