As a little girl, I dreamed my prince would come someday

He'would be so handsome, on his horse take me away

As a teenage girl I dreamed, of a famous"Prince" rockstar

 There's so many boys my age,, yet I still dreamed from afar

Make believe ideas I found, were good for just one thing

They helped me know what kind of love, I wanted him to bring

As a newlywed I dreamed, our fairytale would always be

That thinking didn't last; I had to face reality 

Real life didn't give me, a happily ever after

 Love isn't enough, it took kindness, work and laughter 

He's dedicated just to me, other's he won't bother

When the time was right I knew, he'd be a good father

Yes, we've made mistakes, in our half a century marriage

Forgiveness is important, to bless the one you cherish

I have a man who loves me; takes over when I rest

  All the chores I usually do and gives to me his best

The truest love he's given me, is all our years together

 Things we have experienced; storms that we both weather

He's worked hard all his life, and been a good provider

Done right by his family and has always been a fighter

God lives here in our home, and we both share a strong faith

He knows how to apologize, before it is too late

He treats me like a queen, and is always so protective 

All that I want in a man, he's already invested 

I've had that dream for 50 years; he says that I'm his darling 

My husband alway will be, My very own Prince Charming
