My Lodestar

Star that shines to guide our way
A pathway across the sea,
A light that's hung in heaven above,
A message for you and me.

What does it mean, this brightest star?...
That amazes me still today.
What little I know...how small I am,
What is it trying to say?

It shines its light upon the One
Who says, "Come follow Me.
I'll navigate, I'll lead the way.
My truth will set you free.

All I ask is give Me your life.
I'll take you the way you are.
Lean on Me, trust and obey,
We'll fly beyond that star."
