This work has reached the exceptional level
Nature is AMAZING!!

The Fight Is Real

In April, violet and heather
share in the glory;
each one a fan of
their Earth-Mother's story.

They muster and bluster
and cluster so tight,
sure of their purpose;
to weather the fight.

Delicate flowers?
That, they are not.
They've dug in their roots,
Fiercely claiming their spot.

The victory is theirs,
their presence proclaims.
They fend off the storms,
Undeterred, play their games.

Even though it is cold and storming all around me here in Upstate NY, I am setting my sights on fields of flowers and how they survive no matter what! I'm going to do the same and take my husband's advice: I'm going to be a bulldozer!
