Life's About Love

This Is My Life! Contest Winner 
My life's about family, simple as that,
There's really not much more I can say.
Loving, protecting them, keeping them near,
they're the reason I get up each day.

Now that I'm older, life's quieted down,
I see much more than I did before.
Taking the time to reflect on my life,
my new granddaughter that I adore.

She's starting out, with a long road ahead,
they'll be bumps and some tears on the way.
This lovely girl is what life's all about,
she's the future, but she's my joy today.

If we could have all the gold in the world,
and have all of our wishes come true.
Without someone there to share it all with,
well then, what good would having it do?

Life is about leaving something behind,
helping others whenever you can.
Doing your best is all you can do,
to love, laugh, and learn, part of my plan.
