Would you reject your child?

by royowen

Does anyone reject their child,
repulse their flesh, their kin reviled?
One's house should be a refuge strong,
where love and grace will linger long.

I know I should make Father sad,
but yet I know I make Him glad.
Because of Christ, my advocate,
He lifts my worth, I'm adequate.

For Jesus said, I'll never leave,
I'll not forsake, your soul won't grieve
Though children stumble as they walk,
God's hand protects, though shadows stalk.

I'll always dwell in Jesus' shade,
for in His image I am made.
His mighty shadow falls on me,
His faithfulness and blood's my plea.

Hebrews 13:12
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. KJV

James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Psalm 28:7-8
Blessed be the LORD, for He has heard my cry for mercy. 7The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song. 8The LORD is the strength of His people, a stronghold of salvation for His anointed.
