Waterfalls can be dangerous.

Waterfall Tragedy

Our group rented a pontoon boat
Intent on having fun in the sun
Cruising along the lakeshore
Spotted a cascading waterfall
Susie, a raven-hair beauty
Always a gleam in her eyes
Coy smile on her pretty face
She was a very sweet girl
With an empathetic heart
Who loved excitement
She said, “Hey, I gotta
Swim under that waterfall.”
 
Before I could stop her
She did an arching swan dive
Seemed to float in mid-air
Made a tiny splash, up she bobbed
Swam toward the falls, suddenly
She was sucked under the water
We waited and watched but
Susie never reappeared
