Alone and no one to feed me.

The Echo of Years

by poetwatch

I am all alone in my house,

my spirit’s sad, missing your lips.

Within a dream of loneliness, I walk.

Inside this dream beats my heart in a maze.

I look everywhere for you, love.

I call and hear the echo of my voice.

You’re so far away from my arms.

I miss your charms and your caress.

I need you. I want you.

Where are you! I am not myself.

My bed is lonely for there is no warmth

there’s no one to snuggle or squeeze.

Your pillow I embrace

and smell the essence of our love,

but that is not enough.

I call on the genuine you.

The one that brings me to my height

and tenderly takes me to bliss.

Where are you this night? I miss you.

Do you feel what I feel?

That intense desire still stirs within my soul

as I recall our years as one,

but I’m alone and in need.

Come to me, my love, and feed me.
