Barrel Racing

by country ranch writer

They say things happen for a reason.I never could understand why? But life gets in the way, it starts out great but then the finish isn't all we hoped it would be. We seem to take life for granted.  From start to finish it was a great ride while it lasted.
The adventure started when I was young and full of energy wanting to prove to the world I was great a barrel
Only thing was I never  expected to be told I would never ride again.
We all dressed up in fancy shirts and jeans it was
what we wore to entertain folks.
Winning was even better, as we took the spot light with a big grin and check for being the best of the best.
Being out on the road I met so many good friends.
They become your family away from home for long periods of time.
At the meet and greet  is where folks gather to get you autograph and tell you how proud they are of you.For
many making friends is easy. I still keep in touch with them.
Celebrating  with your fellow riders brings folks close. You meet people in every town you go to that has entered to ride just like you, so manny different riders entered at these events.
My favorite part of being there watching my friends ride the bulls, the rush they  say is enormous. On the back of a bull they earn their money the hard way, eight seconds at a time!
