A Poem

When 'tis best to write?

Inspired to start
with quill and ink
shakes my soul apart.
Do I use brown or pink?
Co-mix the ink, I think!

                        Like a hand in glove
                        I intend not to shrink.
                       To scribe a poem, I'd love.
                       Flowing from quill and ink
                       Pray, don't stop, don't blink!

                                                  Rare gems falling from above,
                                                  Pray, don't stop, don't blink!
                                                  Do I see a snow-white dove?
                                                  Is poetry an art? Yes, I think.
                                                  Finding words that truly link.

                                                                Dip the nib of the quill in ink.
                                                                Fear not your inner voice ...
                                                                Dove or lost love or mink
                                                                matters not; it's your choice.
                                                                So, pen a keeper, then rejoice!
