Starting the day right

A Song of Praise

Early in the morning, I seek my Saviour's face
Thanking Him for blessings, for mercy, love, and grace.

I thank Him for sweet rest throughout another night
For watching over me until the morning light.

Great is His faithfulness, He's always by my side.
He knows what each day holds, and His strength will provide.

Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God who reigns,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace He remains.

This grateful heart of mine wants to give Him glory
For His daily blessings as He writes my story.

Just simple words I have, no great thoughts or phrases.
As long as He gives breath, I will sing His praises.

I'm looking for the day when life down here is o'er
I'll spend eternity with Jesus evermore.
