Pioneer children played games and did some chores too.
In the morning, milking cows is a job they'd do.
Onions, radishes, and lettuce are crops they'd grow.
Native Americans taught some of them I know.
Each child loved to play games when all their chores were done.
Enjoyed hopscotch, horseshoes, playing ring toss was fun.
Rice, bacon, eggs, and potatoes - foods they would eat.
Sweet things like ice cream, cakes and pies were quite a treat.
