Domestic Abuse

Love Beats

The author has placed a warning on this post for violence.
On weekends peaceful rest hides,
especially when his father's favorite vodka is plentiful.
Someone's eyes may be blackened.
Blood may quickly flow from busted lips.
Mainly, his mom's face.
Black eyes,
bloody swollen lips.
Blows from a father's inflamed fists.
No provocation needed.
On weekends peaceful rest hides.
Laughter cannot be heard,
over the rat-a- tat- tats of rhythm and bruises.
