Endless Slog

Life of a Writer

The life of a writer
With words in his head
Ideas tumble
Some tossed out with dread
 
Poem or story
Will it be enjoyed
Or given a glance
Of the null and void
 
Rejection letters
Add them to the pile
Read all their comments
And give a sad smile
 
The life of a writer
One day you will see
Amongst those published
Will be published me
