My favorite things....

Always Bring Me Joy

My Favorite Things Contest Winner 
Sunsets, sunrises, with skies all afire,
warm summer breezes that lift spirits higher.
Birds that delight me from songs that they sing,
these are a few of my favorite things!

Tacos with hard shells and cheese for my dinner,
ice cream with fudge and bananas, a winner!
Time spent with family, the love that they bring,
these are a few of my favorite things!

Words that drip easy from my pen while writing,
poems to my family I'll soon be reciting.
Sweet music with all the joy that it brings,
these are a few of my favorite things!

Out of money, car is broke down,
but I don't complain!
I simply remember these wonderful things,
they all serve to keep... me sane!
