Excellent

No-one knew she watched over their children

The Watcher

Shadows, sidewalk, spider, play, water.

She sits in the shadows
Like a spider watching her unhatched young
While children down on the sidewalk
Splash and play their games
In water from an unplugged fire hydrant.
