I fell madly in love, when you each were born
Memorized moments, right from the start
Imagining what, some day you would be
As you kept growing, so did my heart!

My memory says it was just yesterday
The many drawings of us, you draw no more
Because your childhood's all tucked away

Water was your big obsession.
Birdbath, hose or dog's dish
Your interest still includes water
But you traded those in now to fish

You were such a cute little girl
From dolls to playing basketball
You've played the game since 2nd grade
And now grown to over six feet tall

Your awesome sense of conviction
Lives in your soul and throughout
You love baseball, hunting and fishing
But it's only part, of what you're all about

You never fail to amaze me
Creative interests are your passion
You will always be my sweet Goober
With humor and so much compassion
