Love Is Eternal

In dreams I see you every night,
my heart is overflown with love.
You're happy, safe, all things are right,
sent to us from the great above.

Our love was like the calming sea.
Life's tides raised values throughout time
and things stayed great, as they should be;
When I was yours and you were mine.

Compassion and love ruled our world.
Our dreams were always sweet and true.
Our love was like a flag unfurled,
when you had me and I had you.

We were together many years,
remaining close, remaining true.
Although I struggle with my tears,
my heart remains, always with you.
