Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
In the mood

For the Love of Flowers

While standing in my humble garden
I became enchanted,
Suddenly able
To understand nature's calling.

I saw gaily painted upturned faces.
I inhaled fragrant muted singing voices.
I heard busy bumbling winged admirers.

Honey-breathed surrogate lovers
Flirting amid a great bright sea.
An ocean of colour shimmering expectantly.
Each wave an eager trembling petal.

Wandering minstrels hummed and strummed,
Their cockeyed knees enticing eager pistils,
Pollen bedecked dancers swaying rhythmically
To the melodious beat of throbbing wings.

Magically the air was abuzz with grateful sounds.
The soft drone of happy nectar gatherers
Lost amid the golden silence of requited love.

Stigmatized flowers sighed in the breeze,
While awkward fliers returning home
Were blissfully unaware
Of dreams they had sown.
