Inspired by Frost's Kitty Hawk

A Babbling Poet

by Tom Horonzy

Beans in the pot.
Bird's in the bush.
Where in the world
are my thoughts going?
Unground. Into town.
Spinning quickly,
Round and round,
Without a sound;
Yet visionaryly
Seeking conception.
A word. Two or more.
Needs be written,
Read and heard.
Verse by verse.
Terse at times,
Verbose at others.
Imaginative pablum
of cerebral leftovers
for nuts and intellectuals.
Prosaic gibberish
or poetic prose?
There's something brewing.
Spew it out, lad.
Rouse yourself.
Think, think, think.
Poo-bear dropped in
seeking some honey?
Haste makes waste.
Slow down. Take a breath.
You're falling...Asleep...
snoring serenely
With beans still in the pot
and a bird in the bush.
Sometimes, I think
better while I rest.
Zzzzzzz

This piece should be read quickly. Up tempo. Allegro.
A new "Frontier" to be explored would be the mind of a writer experiencing "block"age.
I finished reading Robert's Frost, "Kitty Hawk" this morning and felt if I couldn't rambled for 471 lines, so, I tried something smaller, and humorous..
