A little momma is asking other momma a question

A Vignette in Poetry Form

by Liz O'Neill

She went from one mother

To another asking

"What do you feed your babies?"

One said, "Big juicy bugs."

Another said, "Fresh green Grass."

And yet another said," Fish from a running rivulet."

To each she answered with a wide smile

"Oh, that's nice."

For she was, after all,

A wide-mouthed frog.

The next mom she approached was the last

With her wide mouth, she asked,

"What do you feed your babies?"

The momma snake flicked her skinny tongue

As she slickly answered. "Wide-mouthed frogs."

Momma frog pursed her lips tightly

"Ooooh thet's noice."

She hopped off to hide and feed her babies

Like a good momma should
