Matters must change

May Labour Day

Her name was Aurora,
and she was about to tie the knot.
Her life came to an abrupt stop
when her hair got caught up in a factory machine;
the safety screen had been
removed to save time by her employee.
A life broken, a tragedy soon forgotten.
Millions are forced every year
to work in hazardous conditions.
Security on the job should be everyone's priority.
Workers shouldn't have to fear
for their lives nor loved ones be left to shed tears.
