On Earth Day , Dian Fossey s work to save the Gorillas of the Mountains in Rwanda should be remembered.
Her legacy continues today after her murder in 1985 at the age of 54. She gave her life to conserve these magnificent creatures from poachers and encroaching farmers/ settlers.
Her life is depicted in the film Gorillas in the Mist.
