Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Especially important today

A Place of Contentment

Majestic ridges wrapped in mist --
wild mountain flora at my feet.
A Warbler sings, a Cardinal calls
with melodies both loud and sweet.
 
Bucolic twisting labyrinth  
meanders to our secret spot.
A place of sweet tranquility
with blooming blue Forget-me-nots.
 
Cascading, tumbling waterfalls
lush verdant moss adorns each rock.
A warm breeze whispers o’er the pond
and stirs the trees along our walk.
 
Blue sky turns pale with saffron stripes.
A rhubarb blush begins to glow.
Before the stars come out to shine 
those twilight shades put on their show.
 
As night arrives with soft laments
I look into your loving eyes.
I feel the warmth of your embrace—
and know where my contentment lies.

In this topsy-turvy world of today, it's especially important to have a place of peace and contentment. Sometimes, it's only in my mind. Most days that is enough to allow me to reflect and get centered so that I can stop count my blessings. Thank you for reading.
