My Family

In my family there's two girls and five boys.
Each of us gave both our parents lots of joys.
Our parents taught us how to be patient, kind,
And they taught us how to be honest and mind.

We gave each other support year after year.
In our hearts we'd try to hold each other near.
Both my parents taught us how to get along.
They taught us each how to be loving and strong.

We knew that our love for each other was true
Although we did not often say "I love you."
We loved hearing our dad play music by ear.
He played wonderful songs that we loved to hear.

When we grew up, all the holidays were fun.
Our parents taught us to love God and his son.
We enjoyed going to church week after week.
We learned that we should pray for answers we seek.
