Opposites Attract!

I ask you to go bowling,
You laugh, and shake your head!
You ask me to go fishing,
And I, go back to bed!

Your whiny music bothers me,
Old Country's not my thing.
I'd rather hear my Rock n Roll,
Good music with some swing!

I love to watch the old time shows,
"Happy Days or Leave it to Beaver!"
But when you turn the TV on,
It's "Classic Tractor Fever!"

We don't have much in common,
We've known that, for fifty years!
Yet we've had such treasured moments,
That have brought us both to tears!

The Three Most Beautiful Children,
That came from you & me.
The home we made together,
Grandkids, friends and family!

I Love all of our traveling.
The communication along the way!
But whether we're gone or back at home,
God still guides our path and days!

I Pray that our days together,
Will continue, to be so Blessed!
And my Hope is that God let's us share,
This one, and all the rest!!

As you brighten my life with your smile
You're a Blessing, from Heaven above!
I'm so Thankful, Proud and Happy,
That God gave me you to Love!

My reason for writing this poem, was to show my husband Glen, that I'm thankful that our differences don't affect the love we have for one another. We know what brought us together in the first place, and what our common interests are. And with God's help, we embrace them daily and thank Him for all of His Blessings along the way!
