Very short story Contest Winner
The dog, terrified by thunder, escaped from his home.
Eyes wild with fear, he zigzagged across roads. Brakes squealed.
With increasing panic, he fled from frantic people trying to help.
He found refuge, shaking and panting with distress, on my porch,
under my Welcome sign.
Safe.
