Sometimes it just has to be done.
Killing My Baby

It was with great trepidation I killed my baby. Really, I didn’t want to do it. But my feverish brain told me it had to be done.
When it came time I said, "I'm sorry, I like you. But I know you have to go. You aren't fitting in." I tried to think, maybe with a little reordering. But no, in my heart, I knew.
I placed my cursor, shadowed my prized sentence, and pressed delete. I thought, I'm so sorry, but I’ll keep you in my memory book, hoping to find a place where you will nicely fit in.
