What Matters

Now that I'm older, life's different for me.
So very different from year twenty-three.
Which was my very best year by the way.
Just married, a new adventure each day.

When I was young, I focused on me,
then my husband came, it turned into we.
But now it's my kids that make life worthwhile,
they're so much fun, they're the reason I smile.

Life's about family, time that I spend
with them is precious, brings joy without end.
The meaning of life, it's not things you have,
it's the people you love that make you feel glad.

You always should do the best that you can,
to live a good life, help your fellow man.
But it's family first, for me that is true,
they will stick by you, in all that you do.
