A Walk In The Woods

Any time my spirit feels low,

Walks in the forest sooth me so.
Away from the city's restless street,
Leaf covered paths greet my feet;
Kisses from heaven fill the air

In the pure clean fragrance everywhere.
Notes from the music the song birds share

Take the place of the city's shrill blare.
Here in the woods my spirit takes wings,
Enjoying each note the song-bird sings.

Worries and troubles are left behind
On this wooded trail where I unwind.
Old spirits that had once been low,
Dance with delight at the forest’s show.
Stillness and peace are all I now know.
