Spiritual Reprise # 3

My heart is chained with emotion.
I find myself craving connection.

I'm all wrapped up in other's opinions,
A white leather straight jacket of dominion.

My soul screams for constant validation.
I smother those around me with adoration.

In hopes that they will crave me too.
I abandon who I am, in order to be like you.

One day I will adapt and overcome.
These feelings I depend on will succumb.

To the metamorphosis of my inner true self.
My being is blooming a new mental health.

Feelings of self-worth, reflect in a mirror.
I am no longer dependent; love is crystal clear.
