Roving Eye

by HarryT

Lighthouse with your roving eye at night
Long you’ve stood alone on far-out point
Keeping sailors free from dangerous rocky plight
Casting your roaming beam, you safely anoint

Your foghorn groaning protective extols
Allowing captains to sail without consternation
Guiding them steadily around sandy shoals
Directing ships to their desired destination
