What Is Pride?

Happiness you feel for a job well done.
Asking for help when it is hard to do.
Being able to love, respect yourself
In your appearance, thoughts and actions too.

Taking care of your apartment or house
'Cause it's a place where you feel safe, secure.
Praising your children for things that matter:
Performing well in a dance recital.

Being honored to wear your school colors.
Feelings you have for your A+ student.
Having a high regard for your parents
For supporting you and raising you well.

Giving all you got to help your team win
Even when they have nothing to play for.
It is valuing your efforts at work
Because your employment matters to you.
