A Night at the Lake

Evening sun gleamed on the water
Waves caressed the sandy shore
We sat in my ‘57 Chevy
Songs of evening birds echoed in the air

Cuddled Susie, hugged her gently
Sought her lips, we French kissed
Whispered a request, never asked before
She said, “For you, okay, I will.”

She opened my zipper
Took me into her mouth
Blood cascaded, I ascended
My heart pounded like a speeded metronome

Fireworks exploded, she lifted her head
And said, “We spilled our babies.”
