2022 and Me

Resolutions Contest Winner
My New Year’s resolution in two thousand twenty-two
Is getting off my lazy duff and finishing a few
Stories that I started and left hanging in mid-plot;
Juicy “Aha!”” endings; I will make up on the spot!
OR, I could take up painting, like my doctor - father did.
He started, in his eighties, and was very talented.
He had a natural gift, and he got better through the years;
As I can draw a little, it appears
That maybe I could learn to paint (except you can’t erase)
It’s likely I could paint a scene, but prob’ly not a face.
Mainly, though, my wish is that all “viri” disappear
And we will get some normal back, this year.
