Niagara Falls

by tempeste

in winter her gushing waters
in part cease to flow;

held in arctic grip
she glistens like starlight gems

I still have a crush on Thrabdhuil after watching The Hobbit trilogy.

In the 3rd film Thranduil mentions : white gems , of pure starlight ..he was referring to the necklace of gems he had the dwarves make for his wife ..these gems were stolen and Thranduil was adamant to get them back for sentimental reasons obviously.

That said .. it s astonishing that it gets so cold that in part Niagara Falls freezes, creating this fairytale scene.
