We can choose to live a life of vices or virtues

Vices Versus Virtues

by Kit Nongkhlaw

Impure thoughts beget lust,
Lust begets jealousy,
Jealousy begets anger,
Anger begets conceit,
Conceit begets envy,
Envy begets greed,
Greed begets murder,
Murder is the worst vice, but...

But Love begets joy,
Joy begets peace,
Peace begets patience,
Patience begets kindness,
Kindness begets goodness,
Goodness begets faithfulness,
Faithfulness begets gentleness,
Gentleness begets self-control,
Self-control can block impure thoughts.
