A Journal

A journal is a book of great value,
And there are a number of reasons why.
This book helps me reflect on who I am,
The person I was and want to become.

I can write about my hopes and my dreams,
My worries, fears, shortcomings, and heartaches.
I can write about songs that give me peace,
Share feelings, thoughts about people I love.

I can write about what happened each day,
Record all the good deeds my dear friends do.
I can express why I am happy or sad,
Write about some things I want to forget.

I can write about important events,
Record my testimony -- strong and true.
I can uplift others by what I write,
Share my love and thanks to Father above.
