A Feast of Friends

Thanksgiving has come early,
at least inside my heart.
I feel a sudden gratefulness,
in which you play a part.

I have around me virtually
the greatest feast of friends
and celebrate the bounty
of the love that you extend.

So rich and sweet this "meal" replete
with "word desserts" galore,
They're stories for the mind and soul,
that quench my thirst for more.

The Fan story banquet table,
not made of oak or pine,
is built of solid hearts
that span all space and time.

Upon this sturdy table
no better spread is found,
than that prepared by all to share
with members all around.

Emotion is the spice we use
a dash of humor too,
for trays and dishes, talent-filled
are offerings to chew.

So abundant is the flow
of words with love explained.
I'm thankful for the genuine,
true friends that God ordained.

There's still room at this table.
It's meant for all to share,
so grab a pen and paper
and please pull up a chair!
