This work has reached the exceptional level
From soldiers then and now

Freedom Given

Another Acrostic Contest Contest Winner 
For all of those who fought to keep us free,
Remember them, not just on Veterans day.
Every time it's free air that we breathe,
Every word, protected, that we say....
Delivered to us by women and men,
Overseas and also here at home.
Many never saw their homes again.

Graves were dug for those who died alone,
In these brave soldiers, heroes truly found.
Vilified today, I'm sad to say,
Even our current government puts them down.
Now ask yourself, what if they weren't around?
