Winter's Magic

by Boogienights

Autumn ends and winter takes its place,
a cold wind sends leaves on a merry chase.
Soon, winter white will change the landscape's face,
and icy crystals, bare tree limbs, will grace.
The joys of winter we will then embrace,
all summer dreams we had we will erase.
As Christmas nears we quicken up our pace,
through happy Christmas shopping we will race.
When winter storms come, home will be our base,
then winter garb we will don just in case...
there's snow enough on hills, our sleds to race.
No other season's beauty can replace,
the loveliness of winter's icy lace.
As Jack Frost weaves his magic we can trace,
his wonders, that brings smiles to one's face.
Poinsettias fill up our Christmas vase,
and candles glow up on our fireplace.
Winter's the season we should slow our pace,
just giving thanks to God for all his grace.
