A Wordflair poem

by damommy

Bedraggled  . . .
he came into my yard one day,
forlorn, as on he straggled
upon the porch, and there he lay,
so hungry, thirsty, plain to see.
I’m glad he found his way to me.
Hoping . . .
this poor lost cat would yield
and bear my gentle groping.
Some wounds were raw, but some had healed.
I doctored them so carefully.
I’m glad he found his way to me.
Friend . . .
he’s in fine fettle now,
my bosom buddy, true godsend.
He says with sweetest purrs, meows,
he knows my love, and he loves me.
I’m glad he found his way to me.

This is not my photo, but I've had cats come here that looked worse than that. Of course, I took them in.
